2024-2025 Burns Dance Studio Performance Team Auditions

Performing Company Requirements: Dancers in Performing company must take at least tap, ballet, jazz (ages 5-7), adding hip hop and contemporary and acro (ages 8+). Teams are organized into groups and take technique classes together during the week. Dancers begin training in late July and have guest choreographers during the fall. Dancers also attend dance competitions and conventions during the spring and attend a national convention in the summer.

Squad Requirements: Dancers must be enrolled in classes at the studio for their squad style. We will have 2 styles of Squad members next year: Musical Theater and Hip Hop. Dancers may take other style classes as well, especially if they would like to audition for Performing Company in the future. Squads will learn choreography in the fall and have weekly rehearsals in the spring leading up to a regional competition in early April. Squad members may also be a part of the halftime show.

Halftime Show: Dancers must be enrolled in a dance class at the studio. Kids attend weekly rehearsals in the fall and perform at local college and high school basketball games during basketball season. This is 2 classes per week from August- January, then once class per week February – May.

Performing Company Ages 5-7: Tuesday. May 28th & Wed. May 29th 5:45 – 6:45
Performing Company Ages 8-11: Tuesday, May 28th & Wed. May 29th 6:45 – 7:45
Performing Company Ages 12+: Tuesday, May 28th & Wed. May 29th 7:45 – 9:00
